Still a Test-Takin' Fool!

Foolish enough to take the darn things, that is.

So I think Trav may have broken the curse and passed something as Dad challenged. If he did, it doesn't seem to have had any effect on me. I took the GMAT for the second time yesterday.

Last time around I got a Quantitative (the math part) score of 32. That was only the 34th percentile (meaning I only did better than about 1/3rd of people who take the test). But I did pretty good getting a 36 on the Verbal part (logic, reasoning, argumentation, sentence correction, etc.). That was the 78th's percentile.

So for the last month and a half, or however long its been, I've been studying all the kinds of math on the GMAT: arithmetic, algebra, & geometry. I thought for sure I'd do significantly better in this section and was only a little worried that I might do a little worse on the Verbal section because I had completely ignored that stuff this whole time, focusing wholely on the math.

Well the Lord must be trying to tell me something, because I did even better on the Verbal (87th percentile), and even worse on the Quantitative (30th percentile). Now if I could only figure out what he wants me to do... since a BYU MBA is not an option, at least not for 2009.

I guess the breaking of curses in this family isn't a unilateral phenomenon. When one person breaks through, only they are released, the others still seem to be bound by the curse. So I guess I broke out of one curse, and Trav another. How's things comin' Shawnee and Tanman? Any luck?
